How do you plan to celebrate your 4th of July weekend? Light up the barbecue with the family in your garden or in your local park? The best chocolate dessert recipes

This white chocolate dessert is just as American as apple pie. But skip the heat baking when you’re making this simple chocolate crust with just three ingredients. This sweet treat uses the three symbolic colors of the American flag – red, white, and blue – to create the perfect July 4th snack. All you need is white chocolate and colorful summer berries.

Use your microwave to melt the white chocolate until it has a smooth liquid consistency. Then pour your melted chocolate onto a sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure the chocolate is evenly distributed before adding some fresh blueberries and raspberries on top of the chocolate. Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. Once it is set, take it out of the freezer and break it into pieces. It doesn’t matter what size, you can make large or small pieces. That’s it, a quick and easy treat to make with the kids for July 4th.

Feel free to substitute any ingredient to your liking. If you want to keep the theme for the holiday, you can swap raspberries for sliced strawberries or pitted cherries. You can also swap white chocolate for milk or dark chocolate if you’re not married to the red-white-blue theme. But if you want to stay on topic, use these cute, colorful summer berries for fresher desserts.
