The former NBA executive sees great things for Miami Heat

BETTER CHANCE: Former Heat Guard Goran Dragic, who traded alongside Heat 2020 Precious Achiuwa’s first-round selection in the August sign-and-trade deal that Lowry delivered from the Toronto Raptors, said Achiuwa was apparently in place in a better place. “If I’m honest they put it in a box a bit last year,” Dragic said during a media session in Toronto about the heat. “Of course he was a rookie.” Dragic said Achiuwa had been reduced by the heat to “run hard, set screens, roll, catch the lobs and ricochet”. Commenting on the Memphis power forward, he added: “But this year we saw in the preseason that he can do a lot more. He can get the ball across the pitch, he can play, he can attack the big ones. ”The Raptors chose Achiuwa’s rookie scale option for 2022-23 during camp. The win over the Celtics on Friday was a payout as Achiuwa went on 15 and 15 with no foul or turnover.
